ROAR!!!  It's a Jurassic Park Party!

While I have had the pleasure of making dainty Ballerina Party Invitations, and all-so-classic  Barbie Party Invitations for my granddaughters... I have an 'adventurous' granddaughter turning THREE!!

Instead of dolls and tea cups, Leyla collects DINOSAURS!  And her favorite movie is Jurassic Park!

So although this was a bit challenging I think I hit the mark!  Finding the Tape Works CAUTION washi tape and the Darice Diamond Plate  Embossing folder on Ebay was a key factor!

Hope you think so too!!

It's Super Heroes and Jurassic Park Parties!

I have such a great time creating the invitations for my grandchildren's parties. In December  Rhion is having a Super Hero Birthday Bash!!!

I love the Big City Mariann Creatable Die!!  It just makes the perfect city scape... And the Cricut  Pow!  Bam!  Boom! cartridge was SO much fun!!   (It's one of the cartridges that comes with the Cricut subscription)

I used chrome paper (silver metallic) and the shine just gave it so much depth!

Because I used a Center Step card I was able to pop up another important announcement inside the invitation!

My Tiny Dancer is turning ONE!!
With a due date of September 4, 2014 my beautiful daughter Mykael decided to come into this world three months early and was born on June 17th instead!!  Such a beautiful little angel, with such strength and determination she danced around every obstacle that confronted her the next few months.... thus I called her her "My Tiny Dancer".. God is SO good, and I know he sent His angels to each of us to help make it through such an emotional journey.
Next month we will be celebrating my almost 18 lb granddaughter's first birthday!  So in honor of her truly 'UN-birthday'.. we are throwing a Very Merry Un-Birthday Party!!
Below are some pictures of the invitations both myself and Mykael's other grandmother created for this spectacular event!!

It was SO much fun creating this card!!  We used the Cascading Card Fold and then added a traditional flap card to the back of the card with the "Read Me" card front to add all the information.

We created the elements using the #CricutDisneyClassics cartridge, #HeartfeltCreations - Once upon a Time dies and stamps and the beautiful #HeartfeltCreations Ariana Blooms dies and stamps.
We also used #Quickutz Mushroom dies and
#Spellbinders Labels die.
I can't tell you how fun this was bringing this story to life in an invite!!
Now we are on to making the party favors and decorations!!

I spent this weekend Spring Cleaning my 'Scrap Shack'!!  It's an impossible feat.  Imagine as you come to each section and begin to 'peruse' each stack, item... 'play thing'... Like who could possibly stay on track!!  "I remember when I made this!!  Oh look, that's the invitation I made for... HOLY MOLY I forgot I had that!!'

Well, I made SOME progress, but will meet again NEXT weekend!! Meanwhile I ran across a Peek-A-Boo card I made with a stamp set I won from Unity Stamp Company during a blog hop at the first of the year!!  It was my first hop, and somehow within a couple of weeks I ended up winning FIVE prizes from different vendors!!!  I thought..'Geeze... this is a BLAST!!  Who KNEW you could win so much simply by hopping from one designer/company to another!!  Meanwhile I found SO many wonderful PLACES I never knew existed!!

I'm a bit behind, because I won a TON of stuff, but as I get my scrapbook room 'safe to enter', I will begin creating from all the WONDERFUL stamps/items I won and post!!

This one was really FUN!!  Love this stamp set!!

Here is a Card-In-A-Box filled with Congrats for my nephew Dakota!!  Used my Cricut to cut all these cute exploding ways to say "Congrats!'

The Stampin Up Owl Punch is a real HOOT!

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder to add character filled with TIME!!  Along with a Tim Holtz sentiment!  I love how the card folds flat for easy mailing!!

On the other side of the spectrum... are my OLDER granddaughters!!  I had NEVER even watched a Harry Potter movie so I was STUMPED when the request came in!!

But I learned A LOT very quickly... so comes this adorable Owl Invite.

The base is a suitcase that opens up with a ribbon pull latch!  The ticket is tucked safely away in a cute little pocket.  The Owl was created using a Owl Silhouette die from Spellbinders.

The scroll opens up to say 'I solemnly swear I am up to no good!

Inside is a personalized invitation from Hogwarts School to each of her friends!

I heard it was a HIT!!

Here are some Barbie Party invitations I made for TWO very sweet little granddaughters!!

I created Barbie by cutting the head off a full bodied girl on the Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge... Looks pretty similar don't you agree???

The ribbon wrap was made using a retired Stampin Up ribbon I had on hand.

I really enjoyed making these cute little invites!!

Welcome to 2015!!!

Be the CHANGE you want to SEE in the WORLD!! GHANDI

My 'changes' this year include making sure to take the time to do what makes me HAPPY!!
At my age, I can resign myself to the fact that 'the house is NEVER going to be SPOTLESS.. unless NO ONE stops by... it's a rule.
So why NOT use that valuable time to CREATE something to make someone SMILE?

I hope to get 'BLOG SAVVY' this year.  I love all the CREATIVE blogs I've been so lucky to browse through so far this year... WHY not ADD to MINE???

Hope you enjoy my creations this year!!

For now..  here's a few of my favorite cards from previous years....

Here's a Carnival Party invitation I made for my Grandson!!  I used the Peachy Keen July Stamp Kit of the Month, and the Cricut Carousel Cartridge.  I colored the ADORABLE clown with Copics and used Crystal Effects in the glasses to make them look REAL!

Will add the picture of the inside... as SOON as I find it!!

I loved this cute Military Soldier Gift Card Holder... I actually made it as G.I. Joe Party invitation for one of my OTHER Grandsons... and thought it would make a good gift card holder to!!  What do you think?

This card was one of the first I put on my blog... It's my 'Recycled Soda Can' card... made with the Tim Holtz Birdcage Die using a recycled soda can and Ranger Alcohol Inks... I used a Kaleidoscope Pad with glossy paper and a brayer for the background, with a Emboss Resist using another Tim Holtz clock stamp...

This card was FUN.. kind of like dressing up a Barbie again!!  This was created using white chipboard and a Tim Holtz Sewing Room Die.  I had fun being a dress designer for a day!!

I'm a big fan of Halloween... and I just DON'T know WHY... it' just FUN!!
This Scary Night card was made using  Quickutz Die and I think the fence was Spellbinders?... a Kaleidoscope Pad brayered on glossy paper with the masking technique... using the Center Step Card fold.

Thanks for stopping by!!
