We can still give others the joy we had as a child opening our Valentines today. It doesn't have to be your spouse... your special person in your life.... it can also be neighbors who might not have a Valentine.. or the older woman down the street that lost her Valentine. We live in a world that's gone a little crazy... but we can make a difference. A handmade card is a hug saying 'there is still a lot of love in the world'.
Here's a card I think is perfect for the man or little man in your life. I used the NEW Gears and Textures bundle and I think it give it just the right amount of manliness!
I also used the retired Adoring Hearts dies and cut through a SU Window Sheet to create a stencil for my HOMEMADE texture paste! I have a bunch of these wooden Valentine pieces and they were JUST the right addition. My original idea to was to crumble a Cherry Cobbler cardstock heart and sponge the edges, but this just seemed like more fun! (USE WHAT YOU HAVE!)
I have SO many jars, with ClingWrap under the lids, that is hard as a rock! I don't know about YOU, but I still keep them... I guess I am waiting for a CURE! LOL!
Three products from the DollarTree and a bit of mica powder and you have just the amount of texture paste you need for your project. It's so simple there is no need to make a huge batch that will probably dry up and for pennies on the dollar compared to craft store texture paste!
You won't want to mix my video on my @JourneyTime YouTube channel towards the end of the month! I'll create a post letting you know it's up as soon as I'm done... but meanwhile feel free to hop on over and see some other fun tutorials!
Well we still have time to get our Valentines ready! Keep an eye out for MORE Valentine fun! Let me know in the comments if you enjoy creating Valentines and WHO do you send them too!
